Born in the heat of the summer when the tomatoes were ripe for picking, Miss Sosha knew she wanted to sing country music as her profession very early on. "We should have known because she was singing in the cradle" is often how her mother and father remark on her career choices.
Growing up Sosha would sit and listen to country classic stars such as Patsy Cline, Hank Sr, and Buck Owens, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, and Merle Haggard. As she grew older, she learned to love the great outlaws including Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter, Johnny Cash, David Allen Coe, and Johnny Paycheck and Billy Joe Shaver, just to name a few. All of which inspire her to this day.
Now, an Arizona native since 2015, Miss Sosha is right in the middle of all the great music showcased throughout the state. Since moving she worked to be a classically trained musician to have the fundamentals needed for a lifelong career.
In 2018, Sosha was introduced to Rowdy Johnson, and soon after she was the lead harmony singer in the Rowdy Johnson band. In those two years, she was honored to be a protégé to Rowdy; during that time, she learned about the industry and grew as a singer and a songwriter. Now, she is solo and sharing her songs with the world.
In her short career, Miss Sosha has been blessed to share the stage with legends and friends including: Billie Gant, Billy Don Burns, Bobby Keel, Jesse Priest, Angela Norris White, and obviously Rowdy Johnson. She is also greatly influenced by these great singer-songwriters.
She has had the opportunity to play for many amazing events and locations. Miss Sosha had her official debut at the famous Museum Club in 2019. She has since played internationally at events such as Ride for the Warrior, Bikers Cruise’N For a Cure, various VFWs, American Legions, and many biker clubhouses and many-a-bar and hole-in-the-wall throughout the country.
In early 2021, Miss Sosha came out with her debut single "Dances With Wolves" along with two other of her original singles. In 2024 Miss Sosha released her debut album Honky-Tonk Angel with 12 unique original songs. She is looking forward to getting out and showing the world her original sound. God willing and the creek don't rise!
Miss Sosha wants to thank everyone who took the time to help her along her journey, and to thank all of those who take an interest in her sound. She wouldn’t be anywhere without you amazing people.
"Much Love,
-Miss Sosha"
